Catalogue of Care Exceeds Expectations (19 Dec 06)
Following a successful pilot scheme at Christmas 2005, TLMS launched their 2006/7 Catalogue of Care at CLAN Gathering in July and posted it to all supporters in the early autumn. The Catalogue provides an opportunity to give a truly life-changing gift to those affected by leprosy in place of regular gifts to friends and family.
The 2006/7 Catalogue has a much wider range of gifts available than previously and can be used for any occasion at any time of year, not just Christmas, which is still by far the most popular occasion for these gifts.
As Christmas last posting day arrives, orders for gifts have exceeded all expectations, over £12,000 so far. The generosity of our supporters has surprised us all to the extent that in the last week we actually ran out of the special Christmas design gift cards, though still have plenty of the more general use cards, so nobody went without completely.
Our thanks to everybody who used the catalogue in the run up to Christmas, but remember you can still use it for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements etc for a good few months yet.
