The Leprosy
Mission
is delighted that Their Royal Highnesses, Prince William and Prince Harry, have included TLM as a beneficiary from the Diana, Princess of Wales, 10th Anniversary Memorial Concert. The "Concert for Diana" will be held at the new Wembley Stadium on July 1st 2007 and will feature many of the Princes' and their mother's favourite artists.
Linda
Todd, National Director of The Leprosy Mission
Scotland
, said: “Diana, Princess of Wales, was our Patron and a faithful supporter of our work right up to the time of her tragic death in 1997. During her time as Patron, the Princess recognised that the stigma associated with leprosy was ill-founded and did her utmost to dispel the many myths which, even today, still surround the disease. Her involvement in our work was a great inspiration to both TLM staff and supporters.
We are therefore delighted to have been chosen as one of the charities to benefit from the Memorial Concert. The monies received will enable us to continue our worldwide work, which Diana supported so strongly, as we strive towards the goal of eradicating the causes and consequences of leprosy.”
