New Headquarters Opened by Rt Hon George Reid (18 Sept 06)
On September 16th 2006, the new headquarters of TLMS were officially opened by Rt Hon George Reid MSP, the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.
Invited guests from within the TLM family, along with representatives of missionary organisations, church denominations, local and national politicians, TLMS council members, chairpersons of area committees and staff listened as Mr Reid spoke of his own personal experiences of leprosy in Africa and praised the work of TLM over the years. He also gave great encouragement for the work we still have ahead of us as we work towards a world without leprosy.

The new offices and the work of TLMS were dedicated in prayer by Rt Rev Alan McDonald, the Moderator of the Church of Scotland.
Following a short film about the work of TLMI, Trevor Durston, the outgoing General Director of TLM spoke about what a world without leprosy might look like. Mrs Eva Edington, who served on TLMS council in a number of capacities for over 40 years spoke about TLMS past.
National Director Linda Todd then spoke about TLMS present and future highlighting the challenges and opportunities before us. She encouraged us all to take up the baton and to work to ensure that TLMS plays a full role in making a world without leprosy a reality.
Almighty Father ... as we dedicate these new premises for the work of The Leprosy Mission Scotland, blow the wind of your spirit through this place, and inspire the work which proceeds from here. Be with workers, volunteers and helpers in this place and around the world, as this organisation continues to fulfil its mission... for without you, we can do nothing...
