Wellesley Bailey, the founder of The Leprosy Mission described it as "a Mission born and cradled in prayer. It has been brought up on prayer; it has been nourished on prayer; and prayer has been the foundation of its success since the first moments of its life".
TLM still values prayer as an important way that you can support us. We firmly believe that God hears and answers prayer and we are constantly thankful to see the powerful results of our prayer support.
To help you pray more effectively for the work of TLM we have a couple of resources to help you.
- ASK, TLM International's prayer diary is published annually. To receive a copy, contact the office, alternatively you can download this month's diary or sign up to have it emailed to you every month.
- The TLM Scotland Prayer Guide gives prayer requests that are particularly relevant to Scottish supporters every month. Along with ASK this can be posted to you, downloaded or emailed to you.
- Txt prayers. Simply text the word leprosy to 60300 and you will receive a short up to date prayer request from somewhere around the world. (Messages cost 25p plus standard network charge).
