Pray
Prayer is absolutely vital to the work of The Leprosy Mission Scotland. As an organisation that was birthed through prayer and Christ-like compassion; prayer must be the motivator, the energiser and the director of our hands and feet. Only by God’s guidance and strength will we achieve a World Without Leprosy.
The Leprosy Mission Scotland sees 2010 as a crucial year. A year in which it faces great opportunities and great challenges.
When Wellesley Bailey, the founder of TLM retired, he spoke of TLM as being a Mission:
“born and cradled in prayer.
It has been brought up on prayer; it has been nourished on prayer;
and prayer has been the foundation of its success since the first moments of its life”.
This statement is as true today as ever. As it seeks to meet the challenges of the future, TLM Scotland needs to be covered in prayer and is asking its supporters across the country for their commitment throughout the year to uphold its work in their prayers on a regular basis. TLM believes that God has called it to strive for a world without leprosy. In our prayers we can bring to God our praise, thanks, needs and worries, knowing that He is listening, that He cares and He will fulfil His plan for TLM.
We are extremely appreciative of the prayer power that you bring to the work of TLMS. Please use our many different and informative prayer resources to direct your vital prayers.
Monthly Public Prayer Meeting
On the first Wednesday of every month we open up our staff prayer meeting to anyone who would like to join us. Until this summer these meetings have been held in the office in Stirling but they are now heading out on tour. Please try to join us at a prayer meeting near you. Otherwise why not make this a priority time to pray wherever you are using any of our prayer resources.
