“I spent five weeks at Anandaban (Nepal) and received a very warm welcome from both staff and patients. During my time there I had the opportunity to get involved in a variety of surgical procedures under Dr Indra, mostly orthopaedic but also some general surgery too... Apart from the work, a major highlight was the accommodation for students... The hospital is situated amid lovely scenery, and in my time off I was able to do plenty of exploring around the surrounding villages... Overall, I found it an extremely rewarding experience, which gave me an insight into leprosy as a disease, and TLM's valuable work in combating it.”
