Sandals or Prosthesis Because leprosy damages the nerves, it can cause loss of feeling in the hands and feet. This can lead to injury, and sometimes amputation. Your gift will go towards protective sandals to help desensitised feet avoid injury, or a new prosthetic limb to restore someone's movement and mobility. |

Health Awareness Training Caught early, leprosy can be cured without any loss of feeling, deformity or disability. This can only happen if communities are aware of the symptoms to look out for and know how to care for their health to boost their immune systems. Our specialist teams work with communities to educate them about general health care and leprosy in particular. |
