Zaw Moe Aung Visits Scotland

The newly appointed Country Leader for The Leprosy Mission in Myanmar made a flying visit to Scotland recently

He spent time in the Stirling office sharing details of the mission's work in Myanmar and how it has blossomed since Cyclone Nargis hit the country a couple of years ago. The Leprosy Mission worked with the government during the relief efforts - having particular responsibility for ensuring that disabled people were effectively supported and received relief that recognised their particular situations. Since then it has had increasing responsibility for the provision of support to disabled people across the whole country.

It was fascinating to hear about the new direction of the mission's work in Myanmar and the successes they are having.

The Leprosy Mission Scotland would like to wish Zaw every success in his new role.
