Where Scottish Support Goes
The Leprosy Mission Scotland supports a variety of projects providing care and cure to leprosy affected people all over the world. Below, you will find examples of some of the projects supported from Scotland recently.
Anandaban Hospital, Nepal
Anandaban
Hospital
was established in
Nepal
in 1957 and is the largest
Leprosy
Referral
Hospital
in the region. Individuals from all over
Nepal
travel to Anandaban to be treated and the hospital is committed to providing quality care for leprosy affect people and basic medical services to the community free of charge. It currently provides leprosy health services to roughly 4,500 people every year and general health services to a further 25,000 people annually.
