A Global MissionSupport raised in Scotland is used right around the world on a huge range of different projects each facing different challenges. This interactive map will allow you to explore where leprosy is found today as well as where TLM is working, and what it's doing there to combat leprosy. |
About The Leprosy Mission ScotlandThe Leprosy Mission Scotland is a part of a worldwide partnership - The Leprosy Mission. Active in more than 50 countries, the mission of this global partnership is to minister in the name of Jesus Christ to the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of individuals and communities disadvantaged by leprosy; working with them to uphold human dignity and eradicate leprosy. Since 1874 The Leprosy Mission Scotland has been making a key contribution to this healing work. Based in Stirling, The Leprosy Mission Scotland (TLMS) works across the length and breadth of the country to educate, inspire, encourage and enable people, churches and communities to stand alongside those affected by leprosy around the world. Underpinning this work are the vision and values shared by the whole TLM family. Scottish prayers, pounds and people are integral to the drive towards a world without leprosy. They empower those affected by leprosy to transform their lives for the better and restore wholeness to individuals and whole communities. Our WorkTLMS reaches out to the whole of Scottish society with the plight of those affected by leprosy. Our staff, and the resources we produce, engage with a Scottish audience who might otherwise be completely unaware even of the existance of leprosy in the modern world. The work of The Leprosy Mission Scotland with churches, community groups and schools; with people who can pray, give or volunteer at home or abroad; with young people and the young at heart is ensuring that Scots are at the heart of a global programme to eradicate the causes and consequences of leprosy. |
