About Leprosy
You probably don't want to read a long medical description of leprosy, so instead here are the answers to the most common questions we get asked about leprosy, some of which you're probably thinking right now.
- Does leprosy still exist?
- What causes leprosy?
- Is leprosy infectious?

Leprosy is not hereditary, neither is it passed on by touch. Instead it is transmitted via droplets, such as when someone coughs or sneezes, though 95% of people are naturally resistant to leprosy.

- Is leprosy curable?
- How many people are affected by leprosy?
